Fretted Instruments

Fretted instruments are string instruments with a neck and raised portions on the neck, called frets. The strings are held down against the frets when the instrument is played in order to produce different notes. Examples of fretted instruments include the Ukulele, Banjo, Mandolin, Bouzouki and Mandola. Another typical example is the Guitar. However, on our website this has its own section due to its size (see Guitars).
