Wind

Wind instruments are a family of instruments which include both woodwind and brass. These require air to be blown through the instrument in order to produce sound. With brass, the player's lips vibrate causing the air within the instrument to also vibrate. However with woodwind, the player blows through a reed or across an edge. Alternatively bellows can be used to blow air through a reed like in the accordion and concertina.
